For The Westfield Historical Society’s September First Wednesday Luncheon series at Echo Lake Country Club. Pat Wells will present a program entitled “The History of the White House, America’s Executive Mansion” on September 7th.

It took eight years to build, was burned down, nearly fell down, was almost painted black, and has grown in every direction, but still looks the same.  Enjoy a tour through time in America's First Mansion. The event will begin with check-in at 11:45 am at Echo Lake Country Club, 515 Springfield Ave., Westfield.

For 30 years Pat Wells was a nuclear medicine technologist and instructor.  Upon retiring, she became active in the Chatham Township Historical Society and took courses at Drew University's Historic Preservation Program.  She is now an amateur historian and architecture geek.  She loves to research and share our history.  Pat has presented numerous lectures on a wide variety of subjects.
